The Cake Sisters Pastry Arts Studio: A sweet tradition in Delaware City

Family-owned and women-operated, the Cake Sisters Pastry Arts Studio brings generations of baking expertise to historic Delaware City. Sisters Tiffany and Brittany, together with their mother, Floss, carry on a four-generation family legacy that began with their great-grandmother, a chocolatier and bread baker. The business also honors the memory of sister Candace, whose creativity and passion continue to inspire their work.

Known for their custom cakes, wedding cakes and an array of desserts, the Cake Sisters offer everything from creme brulee and fruit tarts to danish, sticky buns, cheesecakes and cupcakes. Guests can also enjoy tea, coffee, breakfast sandwiches, quiche, soups and light lunches. Future plans include adding breads, bagels, pretzels and baking classes for all ages.

Located at 88 Clinton St., the Cake Sisters welcome visitors Tuesday through Saturday to enjoy sweet creations and a warm, family atmosphere that celebrates both tradition and community.

Community Happenings

At the Library

The Delaware City Library is more than books. It is a hub for community connection and creativity. From children’s story time and teen room hours to maker spaces and adult game nights, the library offers activities for all ages. Visit during regular hours to see what is new and take part in events designed to bring neighbors together.

At the Park

Named for a Civil War Naval hero, Fort DuPont was built to protect port cities along the Delaware River, like Wilmington and Philadelphia from enemy ships. Today, the park preserves land at the mouth of the C&D Canal for recreation, providing access to the water and a reprieve from the urban sprawl of the area.
