Members of the Wilmington Trail Club will be hiking along the C&D canal.  Parking is in the lot adjacent to the barracks and Governor Bacon Health Center. Parking lot is located on Colter Road (formerly Kent), near Oak Lane in the Fort DuPont community.

Come out and cheer for Delaware’s amateur 19th Century vintage baseball team! The Diamond State Baseball Club demonstrates the spirit of baseball’s early years. Watch history brought to life – the team’s name, uniform, and rules are based on the original DSBBC formed in 1865.  Great family fun and a must for baseball fans!

Wilmington Trail Club @ Fort DuPont

The Wilmington Trail Club invites their members to hike Fort DuPont and the Castle Trail on Saturday, May 26. Enjoy the natural beauty of The Fort, its surrounding areas, and take in a little history as you go.

Parking is located in the old parking lot along Colter Road (formerly Kent), adjacent to the Paynter Building. (The former barracks building is under renovation. It is the building next to the Governor Bacon Health Center (south side). Coordinates (above) are for the Fort DuPont Administrative Office. For those not familiar with the area, the coordinates will get you to Fort DuPont. Google Maps has not updated their system with our new street names and addresses and is not reliable.

Household Hazardous Waste- Product containers marked with words, “Warning: Hazardous,” “Flammable,” “Poisonous,” “Corrosive” or “Explosive.” For example; household cleaners, garden pesticides,  paint, nail polish, fluorescent bulbs, or antifreeze.

Paper Shredding- Residents can bring up to 2 file boxes of personal confidential papers for shredding (financial and legal documents, receipts, and tax and medical records). Papers with staples or paper clips are accepted.
